Hattie + Andrew's E-Session

Posted on Monday, December 10, 2007 by Registered CommenterHenry Chen in | CommentsPost a Comment

Talk about a seriously FUN couple to work with! Hattie and Andrew are mucho awesome because they were so easy to work with and willing to try out all my whacky ideas. We spent the early afternoon wandering around Pasadena, starting at City Hall, working our way to the Westin Hotel and shopping centers on Colorado Blvd., and ending the engagement session at...well, you'll see in the photos below :).

Kissing in front of the water fountain at City Hall:

Hey guys, look at the camera and smile :).

Andrew proposed to Hattie all over again:

Leaning against the pillars and admiring each other:

Andrew is a true gentleman. He picked out a rose from the garden for Hattie:

They played some hide and seek and made funny faces at me:

Holding each other underneath the colorful leaves:

Kissing along the church walls, tsk tsk ;).

She's pretty and he's handsome:

The dynamic duo gets ready to take on the world together:

Peaceful moment here as Hattie lies her head on Andrew's chest:

Looking through the pillar holes:

We decided to take a break inside the Westin Hotel:

I like how the lights illuminate Hattie and Andrew here:

Hattie has been playing the piano for over a year now, so we got one of her doing just that while kissing Andrew:

The man of her dreams...is also the one in her make-up mirror:

The lovely couple walking along the store that Andrew bought Hattie's ring:

PDA! Call the cops ;).

Andrew, this is Hattie. Hattie, this is Andrew:

"Getting to know each other" at the coffee shop minus the coffee :).

This is how Andrew proposed to Hattie; kudos for going down on the right knee Andrew!

Andrew played for his university's basketball team, so we decided to get some photos of him with his two biggest passion in life:

Ballin'; don't mess with these two!

Hattie throws an alley-oop to her fiance:

Andrew Maxie with the slaaam dunk! I think I've misplaced this photo, it's supposed to go in the NBA section :).

Hattie shows why she owns Andrew in basketball ;):

Uh oh, the ring for the basketball. What a tough trade here! Told you these two lovebirds were so fun to work with :).

Happy 49th Birthday Mom!

Posted on Sunday, December 9, 2007 by Registered CommenterHenry Chen in | Comments5 Comments

My dad, sister, and I took my mom out to dinner for her birthday this past evening. We've pretty much tried every single famous restaurant in Arcadia (Tony Roma's, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.) except Macaroni Grill, so guess where we went! I was super starving since the last thing I ate today was a breakfast croissant before the Clippers and Heat game earlier in the day. Since the restaurant was pretty quiet and dim, I decided to wait until they brought the birthday cake at the end to take photos since I didn't want to disturb the other guests with the flash.

We got the Romano's Sampler as an appetizer. My mom got the Simple Salmon, my dad got the Chicken Portobello, my sister got the Mama's Trio (primo chicken parmesan, lasagna, and chicken cannelloni), and I got the Chicken and Shrimp Scaloppine...YUM!!! After we finished our meal, one of the waitresses brought out a small cake and sang Happy Birthday to my mom in Italian. We ended the night with some few photos :).

One of the perks of going to Macaroni Grill is you get to draw on the table with the crayons that they provide:

Make a wish mom!

Even my dad participated but he kinda signed his name in the wrong place:

We all stepped outside the restaurant for some fun family snapshots; here's one of my sister Shelly and the birthday girl:

No way we're leaving until my mom gets some photos with my dad as well :).

Can you tell how much my sister loves being photographed? Shelly, I really like your hooded jacket!

This photo is courtesy of my sister, good job Shelly. Oh yeah, I shaved my head (again) a few days ago.

So this is a totally random photo. I asked Shelly to turn around and...snap! And that's my dad walking away. I've pretty much made it a life long goal to harass Shelly with my camera every chance I get :).

As far as presents for my mom, you'll see right here in about a week what I'm going to get for her. Happy birthday mom, I love you! Please remind Shelly to clean her room and feed her dog, hamster, rabbit, and your fishes :P. Thanks!
